It was rather a sad day as parliamentary values were trampled upon by behaviour of a few 'respected' members of Rajasthan Assembly. The errant behaviour of respected members continued even when leader of the house, the chief minister was replying to the debate on motion of thanks to governor's budget address.
This though disrupted her address for a short while, it was an unprecedented incident that had the chief minister little dismayed.
"Entire Rajasthan witness our house being ashamed, our parliamentary democracy has been tarnished and we all need to make a lot of efforts to prevent such incidents," said CM Vasundhara Raje
It was not just her party MLA, she was referring to while replying to chair. "The parliamentary traditions have been strengthened by mutual efforts of members from both the ruling and opposition benches for the past 65 years. It's a responsibility for all of us to conserve them," she appealed to the opposition.
Chief minister went ahead to say that the opposition should not consider themselves separate as they are also an important part of team Rajasthan. She invited them to walk together in journey of development as without opposition democracy is incomplete.
However, despite all the obstacles and replying to all objections raised by the opposition, CM Raje concluded the reply in her signature style with a short prose of confidence for hope for a better tomorrow.
