Vasundhara Raje to pay homage to martyrs at ‘Shahadat ko Salaam’ on Aug 14

The programme “Shahadat ko Salaam” will be held on August 14 in the border districts of the country, including Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Barmer.

The state government has decided to organise a programme to pay homage to the martyrs. 

The programme “Shahadat ko Salaam” will be held on August 14 in the border districts of the country, including Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Barmer.

Under this programme, a 650 km long human chain will be made to pay tributes to the brave soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the victory of the nation. 

In this regard, chief minister Vasundhara Raje made an announcement during her address in a public meeting held in Bhinder, in Udaipur on Friday.  Raje is expected to be part of this programme which is going to be organised with the association of the Border Security Force and the Indian Army.

Raje, while addressing the gathering present at the venue in Bhinder, said that the state’s sons are protecting the borders of the nation and these bravehearts are always on the frontline fighting the enemies. 

She said that with this programme, the government will give the message to such brave soldiers that every child of the country is with them and is indebted to them.

Raje, on this occasion, asked the people to participate in large numbers and mentioned about Rajasthan being the land of warriors. She said that even the history of Rajasthan mentions the instances of the brave martyrs of the state.
