How do you interpret style?
Style is a magnanimous term and holds equal amount of power as the word suggests. Some follow style while some are born with it.

Fashion to you is...

Not following the herd, creating my own identity. However, there has to be some kind of an inspiration — which is appealing to my mind and level of comfort !

Your vanity case has...
Err do I have one?

A grooming/beauty elixir you can’t live without...
My beard trimmer and my electronic toothbrush.

How often do you upgrade your closet? Do you go to designer boutiques or random shops where you can find off-the-wall pieces?
Being a model my closet gets upgraded every now and then — thanks to my designer friends, who keep spoiling me with amazing garments. Other than this, I love getting my own clothes stitched. I keep experimenting, however for tees and casual stuff I would generally pick it up from anywhere.

Do you follow trends or like to break rules with your own take on them?
I try to follow trends but I like to have my own take on them. What looks good on someone might look like a disaster on someone else so it’s best not to follow the trends blindly. You stand out as an individual only when you have your own take on trends.

How do you put together an ensemble?

Observing a lot at my job has given me a pretty good insight. I generally don’t like overdoing things so my first idea is to keep it simple. I bring about a change by breaking down colours mostly. I like muted colours and like to accessorise with a nifty bow tie, scarf, hat, belt, bags, watches and boots.

Which city or cities according to you are the fashion capitals of the world and why?
I have a strong liking for European cities — Milan and London in particular attract me a lot. The main reason being the dominant winters there which entails a wardrobe of jackets, overcoats, waistcoats, wollen sweaters, boots and leather jackets.

One designer label which has been an essential part of your closet over the years and why?

Hive In By Amalraj Sengupta has been a part of my closet for many years. I truly believe in his talent and his aesthetics and his clothes fit me like a dream!
