English footballer David Beckham, rapper Snoop Dogg, singers Ian Brown, Noel Gallagher, Ciara, Daft Punk and actor Jay Baruchel have appeared in a spoof Star Wars advert for adidas.

In honour of the World Cup, the company took some footage from the Star Wars Episode IV, and spliced it together with new material featuring the stars.

Beckham, 35, is seen chatting with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Chewbacca in the footage from the 1977 film, while Jabba The Hutt's henchman tries to kidnap him.

Snoop Dogg, 38, could be seen wielding a lightsaber as Brown, 47, and Gallagher, 43, prop up the bar.

"We thought of turning the Mos Eisley Cantina into a place to watch some football and invite friends along," the Daily Star quoted Tom Ramsden of Adidas as saying.
