Well Fitted Suit: The suit that you wear speaks volumes about the position and the respectability that you command. There are broadly three different categories — Italian, American and British. Choose the right fit for your body type.

Well tailored shirt: A crease-less shirt, with good quality tailoring and no stain marks or even a spot of any other colour to spoil the purity of colour balance. Picking out a colour that would work, based on your profession, is also not a bad idea. If you work within a well protected environment, go for pastels and if it’s outdoor work, pick darker colours.

Neck tie: Neck ties come in many varieties — jacquard, prints, stripes and sometimes checks. Be sure to choose the smartest one for the occasion. If you’re slim, young and dynamic, a slim tie will complement your personality.

Wrist watch: You don’t need a fancy brand associated to your watch; have one sporty and one formal design handy.

A desi garment: Good, straight fitted kurtas are a must have! It’s a classic that you can pull off at any event. Mix and match with a long shawl, as they add variety to the look.

Shoes and socks: These totally depend on the nature of the outfit. Try to coordinate your socks with the outfit.

Cologne: Dressing well is only half the job done. You could be dressed in the most expensive suit, but if you smell like a fishery depot, chances are that you are likely to repel the person you’re trying to attract.

Eye wear: This is the first among accessories someone would notice on a person. The shape of your eye-wear must compliment the shape of the face. The classic aviator is a safe bet.

Innerwear: For those who are more casual and ‘urban street’ in their fashion sense, the underwear can make a statement in itself. It need not just be a famous brand name flashing from the straps, but something printed and graphic would add spice and would be quite a tease too.

Overall grooming: Grooming is like the garnishing over the final preparation. Some people like the stubble and some like it clean. Some like well groomed hair and the others like it rugged. Dress for the occasion and dress to kill.
