This surely is a treat for marine lovers. The Aqua Life 2013 exhibition of rare and endangered species of fish is set to enthrall Mumbai this week. In addition to more than 100 species of fish, the exhibition will have more than 25 aqua tanks displaying a wide range of fish species and information about herbs, flora and fauna. For the first time in Mumbai, the collection will also showcase 150 underwater photographs. Various colours of fish, their movements, and their vividness can also be experienced.
Marine lovers would get to witness octopus and shark fish with an altogether different perspective. Fish like More Eel, Bangii cardinals, Centropyge bicolor, Chelmon Rostratus Long-Beaked Coral Fish and Blue-Blotched Butterfly are also on display. Scat Fish would remain the main attraction of the exhibition.
“The exhibition has undertaken an initiative to inculcate awareness and interest in children about the marine life who will get to win beautiful aquariums worth Rs5000, by participating in a contest. They will just have to guess the name of the fish in one of the 20 tanks with the name of the species,” said Laukik Soman of Laukik Creations, organiser of Aqua Life 2013.
