Father's Day 2022: There can be one day or a lifetime to say 'thank you, papa.' However, these words can summarise your feeling for your hero.

Do you really think a day is enough to acknowledge all the sacrifices your father did for you? Do you think that within 24 hours, we would be able to express the countless emotions, support, and blessings of the elder man? A day isn't sufficient enough to celebrate the journey of your father, but this day is a reminder to us. We tend to take relationships for granted, and during Father's Day, we try to analyse all the doings our father did for us.

All the sons out there, we do feel like saying so many things to our father, but we fall short of words, don't we? So, here we are with some quotes that can summarise and admit father's importance in our lives.

Here are some quotes

Let's talk about the date of Father's Day. In India Father’s Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June. This year, the special day falls on June 20. People from across the world will be commemorating their fathers and everything they have done for them.

The history of Father’s Day dates back to the early 20th century. A mining mishap in West Virginia, the United States on July 5, 1908, killed hundreds of men which led to the day being celebrated for the first time. Grace Golden, the daughter of a dedicated reverend proposed a Sunday service for all the men who lost their lives in the accident.

Two years later, Sonora Smart Todd, the daughter of an American civil war veteran, William Jackson Smart, suggested that Father’s Day should be celebrated to honour the role of fathers. William, a widower, raised Sonora and her five younger brothers single-handedly and selflessly. She wanted the day to be celebrated on her father’s birthday on June 5. The day was later pushed to the third Sunday of June. Over the years, Sonora started campaigning to promote Father’s Day on a national level.
