H&M prepares to make its way into Indian wardrobes, set to open its first store in India this September

H&M to open its first store at Delhi this September. The 25,000 sq ft flagship store will be located at Select Citywalk in Saket and will offer fashion for women, men, teenagers and children.

Global fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) on Wednesday said it will open first Indian store in Delhi around September.

"H&M will open doors to its first Indian flagship store in New Delhi this Fall," the company said in a statement in Mumbai.

The 25,000 sq ft flagship store will be located at Select Citywalk in Saket and will offer fashion for women, men, teenagers and children, it said.

"This Fall, fashion will have a brand new address in India -- from a world-class shopping destination to sustainable and quality fashion offerings at the best price -- we are excited to present the complete H&M experience to our Indian customers," Hennes and Mauritz Retail India Country Manager Janne Einola said.

The H&M Group has over 3,600 stores in 58 global markets and sees the potential to open 50 stores in India over the next few years.
