Some people do not like to drink milk at all, but it is very important to keep the body healthy. A person must drink at least 1 glass of milk daily. Its consumption strengthens bones as well as muscles.

Which milk is better, cold or hot?

Drinking cold milk during the day or in summers is more beneficial. Due to its consumption, the body heat ends and the body cools from inside, whereas if you want to drink milk during the night in winters, then you can consume hot milk. Hot milk keeps the body warm and protects it from cold.

According to diet expert Dr Ranjana Singh, milk is a complete nutritional food item, which fulfills the need of calcium, vitamin D, potassium according to the body's needs. It has many advantages. Some people like to drink it cold while some people like it hot.

Benefits of hot milk

Dr Singh told Zee News that hot milk is beneficial for health. It is easily digestible. Digestion-related problems like diarrhea, gas can be avoided by consuming hot milk. Hot or warm milk may also promote a sound sleep as it contains amino acid called tryptophan that produces sleep-inducing chemicals serotonin and melatonin that can help you sleep better.

Benefits of cold milk

According to Dr Singh, calcium intake is high in cold milk, due to which drinking it many times gives relief in stomach irritation and acidity. Not only this, due to the presence of electrolytes in it, it keeps the body hydrated throughout the day. 

However, avoid it during sleep time as it may promote digestive issues and can also lead to problems like cough, cold. Cold milk is also known to be a natural face cleanser.

This notion about milk is wrong

Dr Singh said that some people consider milk to be a reason for weight gain, which is absolutely wrong. The calcium found in milk increases metabolism so that the body burns calories faster. Not only this, drinking cold milk keeps the stomach full for a long time.

Make sure you are not lactose intolerant, as both of the types may not suit your health.
