Indian Whistlers Association It might sound a little loud, but this group is trying  to promote whistling. Manoj Karam of the group says, “Forget the city, we have members from all over the country. Now we have our own whistling orchestra wherein we play the tune of famous songs by whistling.” And the good news is that not just men, but even women are a part of this group who are whistling enthusiasts.

The comics clubWhen was the last time you read a comic book? With the internet being unleashed on us, few youngsters find comic books interesting enough to grab their attention. To change this, Mihir Joshi started the comics club. And interestingly, it has become a hit. Hundreds of members of this club exchange comics and keep the fun alive. Started in 2006, this club has also managed to get an entry into the Limca Book of Records.

WinceIt’s a group of carefree people with a quirky streak. Here anybody and everybody is welcome to discuss their most embarrassing moments and yes, laughter follows. They meet at least once a week and spread the laughter.

Cyclists to workWith increasing pollution day after day, being environment conscious seems to be the call of the day. This group is about people who are health conscious and cycle their way to work. Anil Utchil, one of the members of the group, says, “Many thought that it was a bizarre idea. But few managed to show interest in this pollution-free method of travelling.”

Footloose and fancy free no moreIt’s always a problem for single people in a country like India to find a common meeting ground to seek other singles. The group encourages singles to open up and meet new people by indulging in partying, picnics and movies. But the most interesting feature is an exclusive group for people above 50 years. Varsha Agnihotri, one of the founders of the group, says, “It is really nice to know that many single people above 50 years are also forthcoming to do interesting things and not want to be indoors and be a recluse.”

I don't know if I have a spiritual mission as yet, but I certainly have a karmic mission and one of the responsibilities it performs is to help people earn a living.”
