Author Karan Bajaj, whose debut novel is being made into a Hollywood movie, says his role ends once he sells the rights to his book

US-based novelist Karan Bajaj almost amazes you with his levity regarding his lack of interest in the adaptation of his successful debut novel Keep Off the Grass into a Hollywood flick. Bajaj feels the role of the author ends when he sells the rights to his book. “I am not fascinated by celebrities nor have any interest after I have sold the rights to my book to those who will make it into a film.”
The author’s debut novel was bought by the company that
co-produced The Dark Knight and Batman Begins.

An IIM graduate, he admits he is more comfortable to focus on greater things in life. He says, “I am not really bothered much about glamour and neither do I think film stars have been given special powers by the universe.”
