Mario Miranda's book on Paris to be released in Delhi

The photobook by Padmabhushan Mario Miranda, would be launched in on December 8 by ambassador of France Jerome Bonnafont.

Internationally renowned cartoonist Padmabhushan Mario Miranda's photobook on Paris would be launched in New Delhi on December 8 by ambassador of France Jerome Bonnafont. The book showcases the best of Paris through Goa-based cartoonist's view point.

The cartoons depicts few of Paris' milestones like Cafes, Shakespeare and Company (one of the most famous bookshops of Paris which published the first edition of James Joyce's `Ulysses.'), The George's Pompidou centre and mosque constructed in 1926 in Moroccan style besides several others.

Few of the initial pages of the book has appreciative words from Award-winning French filmmaker and writer Dominique Lapierre. Lapierre has termed the book as 'artistic evocation of the city of Paris.'

 Mario, who had a stint with publication like 'Times of India’, 'Economic Times' and 'Illustrated Weekly', presenting his book said that visiting Paris was his long drawn dream during his days of youth.
