Prince William may get his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, a puppy for Christmas, according to reports.
If Kate’s gift is indeed another pooch, it will join royal Beth, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’ recently adopted terrier, and Queen Elizabeth’s reported 10 corgis, in the canine ranks.
“Speculation is swirling over what William is going to get Kate for Christmas,” the New York Post quoted Today’s reporter as saying.
“The general consensus at this point is that the Duchess of Cambridge is getting a puppy,” the reporter added.
This is not the first time William has offered Kate a four-legged gift.
The couple gave each other pups in 2009, the Daily Mail revealed.
The 29-year-old Duchess was bestowed with a black cocker spaniel named Otto, who infamously chewed a pair of pearl earrings William gave her for her 28th birthday.
Kate also gave the 3rd in the line of succession a black lab puppy, to keep his aging dog Widgeon company on walks.
