Indian designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla have added another feather to their cap. They were in London recently, for the Elephant Parade, a charity event, where designers from all over the world adorn fibre glass elephants. They solely represented India this year and their design was voted one of the top 20.
The elephants will be installed all over London to raise awareness towards the conservation of the animal, in India.
Abu says, “Our vision as always was to think India and present the country in all its glory. We hope to present our country’s unique tradition and depict it in a way that it catches the eye of the world. But these days, it is a shame that instead of being left in the wilderness, elephants are being used beasts of labour.”
