Singer J Lo recently admitted that lots goes into a successful partnership. Celebs reveal what keeps their marriage rocking…

Recently with actor and singer Jennifer Lopez publicly admitting that “lots of work goes into a successful partnership”, we wonder if maintaining a marriage under the stiff public gaze is easy at all.

After two failed marriages, the now married Lopez claims that marriage isn’t easy at all.

It can be difficult being under the spotlight for long, even more difficult to be the spouse of someone who is consistently in the limelight. Understandably, the task of maintaining one’s sanity in the relationship becomes tougher.

Playback singer Shaan’s wife Radhika confirms that it took some hard work to make sure that her marriage stood strong against other distractions. She confesses, “It is very easy to lose focus, if I did, I would be very scared. When your husband is more famous than you, the right thing is to be proud of his achievements.”

What also helped Radhika was the fact that before their wedding, she knew Shaan as only the ‘popstar’. However, the singer’s wife says that it definitely needs effort to maintain a happy marriage.

She also says that when they do have arguments, Shaan
always makes it a point to take the initiative of approaching a solution. She narrates, “We have a six year gap and that helps as he is more mature. What also works is that he can’t handle the ‘cold’ treatment for long.” The couple also makes sure that once a week they go out for dinner alone.

For theatre actor Divya Palat and her husband Aditya Hitkari, it helped that both knew each other as friends first for five years before getting married.

Divya says, “Even now we still make sure we go out for date nights every week, even if it is just for salad and soup or just coffee.”

A great way to keep the spark going is to remember special dates and take time out for them. According to Aditya, for his last birthday, Divya kidnapped him. He was checked into a flight and flew out for an unknown destination. Sounds like fun, doesnt it?
