HBA Design Consultants, Dubai, recently gave the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai’s Presidential suite a makeover. A comfortable living area, two elegantly furnished bedrooms, a well-appointed study, a king-size dining room, a tech-laden kitchenette and opulent bathrooms are elegance incarnate. Floor-to-ceiling windows run across one side of the 2,200-square-foot suite.

Italian marble in champagne grey and silver serpeggiante, walnut veneer, walnut and white-oak wood add colour and texture to the space. Then there are hand- tufted carpets from Insigne; sanitary ware from TOTO, Hansgrohe and Geberit; imported light fixtures, textured wall coverings and the finest of fabrics from around the world. No Hyatt space would be complete without a piece of art. And right enough, this suite has works by artist Noshir Gobhai and artifacts from Good Earth and OMA.
