Two more books by DG Vanzara to be launched

Some 1000 print copies were made of his first book and people responded well by buying more than 800 of them.

Two books on poetry, authored by suspended IPS officer DG Vanzara, will be launched at Sabarmati Jail on Saturday. Vanzara is an undertrial prisoner in the infamous Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, in Sabarmati Jail. Ran Tankar and Sinh Garjana part-2 are the books that will be launched by former DGP SS Khandwawala.

Vanzara wrote two poetry books, Vijaypath and Sinh Garjana earlier. Some 1000 print copies were made of his first book and people responded well by buying more than 800 of them. Sinh Garjana was a bigger success and all 1250 copies were snapped up by readers.

Because of excessive demand for 'Sinh Garjana', Vanjara was compelled to write the sequel of the same.

Vanzara's first two books received this response in the last six months, 'Navratna Enterprise' of Bhavnagar being publisher of all the books. Kunal Shah and Jayesh Shah are the owners of this publishing house.

Jayesh Shah says, "These books contain poetry about patriotism. People usually like poems that touch the heart. This kind of writing gives inspiration to them. Because of this, we support Vanzara by publishing his books."

"His first two books were well received by readers and because he got such response, he was compelled to write another two books. Vanzara sought the permission of the jail authorities for the launch of his books.

Vanzara himself found the publisher for his books. The jail authorities had asked for government permission for him to write his books. We support prisoners in such activities." said additional DGP, PC Thakur, of Prisoner Department.
