Ever since Sudeep’s Vishnuvardhana walked the path to success, talks of it being made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu are doing the rounds. While Karthi or Vijay is expected to be roped in to do the Tamil version, Aamir Khan is being considered for the main lead in Hindi. But with actor Vivek Oberoi having been given a special screening on his visit to the city, the lead role could well be his.
“Ashok Kheny will be producing the film in Hindi. He is out of the country and a final decision on the lead cast will be taken only when he is back. As for Vivek, he was in Bangalore purely on a personal visit. He is a good friend of Sudeep’s and after hearing about the film’s success just wanted to watch it. Sudeep was also
more than glad to organise a show for him,” says Yogish,
producer of Vishnuvardhana.
Sudeep’s performance is said to have left Vivek impressed. “He felt Sudeep has given a youthful performance,” adds Yogish. The screenplay of the film was also something that Vivek apparently
went gaga over. “He was all praise for Kumar’s direction and screenplay. He felt that not a single character or scene was out of place,” he adds. The screening that was held at Renukamba theatre was attended by both Vivek and Sudeep’s families.
Vishnuvardhana that released at the end of last year was a paisa vasool entertainer. Sudeep had played the role of a die-hard Vishnuvardhan’s (late Kannada actor) fan. Sonu Sood, Bhavana and Priyamani were also part of the cast. Witty one liners and comic situations dominated the stylishly shot film.
