This incident lead to a chaos across the road at Chinchpokli bridge. The incident happened at 2:15pm. This is a rare incident where the Ganesha idol collapsed during the immersion procession.

Rohit Ugle, who was present at the incident, said, "This incident may have occurred due to bad road conditios. The height of this Ganesha was also very high."

According to a Tardeo-based idol maker, "It's a not a mistake by the idol makers. There must have been some communication gap between the workers of the mandal while carrying the trolley." He added, "Mandal workers also have to learn a lesson from this incident that they should restrict the height of Ganesha idols. This is because the condition of the roads is not as good as earlier. There is no road in the city were we don't find potholes."
