Most of the youngsters who were at the rave party which took place at Bombay 72° East, a high profile pub in Juhu, have once again tested positive for narcotics.
Mumbai police’s Anti-narcotics Cell reported that out of the 43 youngsters who went through the testing again, 36 tested positive for drug consumption. Of these 36 youngsters, 10 are girls. The assistant commissioner of the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Girish Koinde said, “Out of the 43 who were put through the tests, 36 have tested positive. All the people who tested positive had consumed a variety of drugs, and these included ecstasy, hashish and LSD.”
Police have sent the notices to all the accused and all of them will be produced in court by next week. The trial is expected to start soon. Until now, there has been no detention and arrest in the case.
“We have begun issuing notices to the people who tested positive. We are expecting that the trial will begin from next week. We have not arrested or detained anybody till now,” said Koinde.
When the rave party was busted, at least 231 youngsters were detained and sent to various government hospitals to undergo tests. In the first report out of 119 youngsters, 109 were seen to be positive. Now the report of 69 more people is still awaited, and is likely to come in, in the following weeks.
