MALEGAON: The third forensic report received from the Hyderabad Forensic Lab has confirmed use of RDX alongwith ammonium nitrate and nitrite, in the recent blasts that rocked this powerloom town, a senior police official said.
"The third forensic report has echoed the findings of the earlier two reports from the NSG and Nashik labs. The presence of RDX, ammonium nitrate and nitrite has been detected," SP, Nasik rural division Rajvardhan told reporters here.
The investigating team had got vital clues in the case and was confident of nabbing the culprits soon.
The police has also questioned Shabbir Ahmed, who was caught by the Nasik police in connection with the explosives recovered in the city, since he is a resident of Malegaon.
Since the blasts were carried out very intelligently, investigators have to look at all angles before arriving at any conclusion and are doing their jobs very carefully and professionally, Rajvardhan said.
