According to police, the complainant, Mohan Kurup, in his complaint to police said that he booked a Bullet and paid Rs1.19lakh from Sai Shraddha auto shop. “He was to get possession of the bike on February 28 but when he called the owners, their numbers were switched off. He then went to the shop but it was closed” said police inspector, Deepak Phatangare of the Malad police station. “Kurup then approached to the Malad police and filed a case of cheating against the three people. In the investigation we found that they have duped six people of Rs 3.6 lakh so far. We have not arrested anyone as of now but we are trying to trace them soon,” said another cop.
