65-year-old shoots pigeons, booked in Mumbai

A 65-year-old man was booked for allegedly killing five pigeons in five days with his air gun.

He has been booked under the Animal protection Acts.
According to sources, there was panic in the area as dead pigeons had been falling on them every day for a week near Anukul hotel on MS Ali Road.

Zahid Sheikh, a resident of the area, said: “When a dead pigeon fell near Anukul Hotel on Saturday, the locals panicked. They came to know that the pigeons were being shot from Habib house building, diagonally opposite to the spot.”

When the residents went to the building and inquired, the man confessed that he had been killing the pigeons.

A senior police officer of DB Marg police station said they were recording the statement of the accused and the locals. Pritigara’s air gun has been recovered by the police.
