An accused in the Aurangabad arms haul case of last year in which over 40 kg of RDX was seized, has been arrested in Hyderabad, police said.

MUMBAI: An accused in the Aurangabad arms haul case of last year in which over 40 kg of RDX was seized, has been arrested in Hyderabad, police said on Thursday.
    
Mustafa Sayyed was arrested on Wednesday and he would be produced before a Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court, Additional Commissioner of police Subodh Jaiswal from the Anti-Terrorism Squad said.
    
Sayyed, allegedly a member of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), was among the conspirators who had planned the transport of the consignment which included 43 kg of RDX, 50 hand grenades, 16 AK-47 rifles and ammunition, Jaiswal said.
    
The seizure of arms and explosives, made in May last, was one of the largest made in the state and the ATS had filed a chargesheet in the case.
    
There are 18 accused in the case presently.
