Thackeray has appealed youths not put their life in danger by performing risky stunts in running local trains here and resorting to rash driving.

Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray has appealed youths not put their life in danger by performing risky stunts in running local trains here and resorting to rash driving.

"It is a very dangerous trend. It is unnecessary to do all these stunts (in trains) in real life as it ends up in accidents and sad things. I appeal to the youth to be sensible enough and set an example of being good commuters," he told PTI.

Thackeray also expressed concern over rash biking during nights.

"Dangerous driving and biking at night is plaguing Mumbai. It needs to be controlled. Rather then speeding and trying to kill your own self I would urge them (youths) to have fun in a good way. Enjoy the ride slow and safe," he said.

"I would approach the Mumbai police commissioner to see who these people are who are involved in rash driving and biking," he added.

Aditya also warned that if enough action is not taken by the police, then Yuva Sena will take up the issue in its own way.

On campaigning for Shiv Sena in the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections he said, "Yes, I would campaign for Shiv Sena. It is not our culture that I would demand seats for the Yuva Sena to contest. Shiv Sena's work in BMC, TMC and Nashik Municipal Corporation would be highlighted," he said.

Asked if Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray and his father and executive president Uddhav Thackeray were happy with the functioning of the Yuva Sena led by him Aditya said, "When I handed over the annual report card of the functioning of the party to them they were happy with it. They trust me a lot."
