The businessmen brothers – Govind Chaunar, 40, and Dinesh Chaunar, 38 – and the advocate got into a tiff at the petrol pump near the  Dahisar checkpost where they had stopped to tank up around 11pm, said senior inspector Ansar Pirjade.

The couple’s car was ahead of the vehicle in which the brothers were. The police said that the couple took a “long time” to move the car after filling petrol. “The couple was whiling away time due to which the two brothers had to wait in queue for too long. This irritated them,” said Pirjade.

When the brothers walked up to the couple’s car and asked them to move their vehicle ahead, the husband-wife duo got out of the car and started abusing the brothers. Following this, the brothers also abused the couple, and this snowballed into a major tiff. “The brothers assaulted the woman’s husband and when she intervened, they assaulted her too,” said Pirjade.

The police officer said that they have recovered camera footage which shows both parties assaulting each other. The complainant woman is also seen beating up the brothers. Following this, the victim filed a case of molestation,” said Pirjade, after which the brothers were arrested on charges of molestation.
