Air India ramps up routes

The airline has also announced a new schedule from October 25. The Amritsar-London-Toronto flight will now operate four days a week from Amritsar.

Air India (AI) will introduce Boeing 777 aircraft on all the seven West-bound destinations and on the route to Tokyo. The B777s will be introduced on routes to Newark, Paris, Toronto and Tokyo, thus covering the long-haul destinations in countries like the US, Europe, Canada and Japan, said Jitendra Bhargava, AI spokesperson.

The airline has also announced a new schedule from October 25. The Amritsar-London-Toronto flight will now operate four days a week from Amritsar. On the remaining three days, the flight will begin from Delhi.

Additional flights on the Mumbai-Riyadh and Delhi-Riyadh routes will increase the number of flights to 11 per week. A daily non-stop A319 flight will be introduced between Chennai and Muscat. The Air India Express flight on the Kozhikode-Muscat-Kozhikode route will now become a daily flight.
