Mumbai Traffic Police has announced road closures and restrictions from July 12 to 15 to ensure smooth traffic flow for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. Roads leading to the Jio World Convention Centre will have restricted access between 1 pm and midnight on these dates. These traffic curbs have sparked outrage online.
“A private wedding is not a public event,” several social media users told Mumbai Traffic Police after it announced restrictions on traffic movement in certain areas of the city during the wedding dates.
The Ambani family also hosted a sangeet ceremony at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, which restricted traffic in parts of the city.

Vehicles from One BKC should take a left at Laxmi Tower Junction-Diamond Gate No.8, then a right at NABARD Junction, and another right at Diamond Junction to proceed to BKC via Dhirubhai Ambani Square/Indian Oil Petrol Pump.
Traffic Diversion Around Dhirubhai Ambani Square Avenue:
No entry for vehicles from Kurla at Dhirubhai Ambani Square Avenue/Indian Oil Petrol Pump. No vehicular movement to the location from MTNL Junction, Platina Junction, Diamond Junction, or BKC towards BKC Connector bridge.
Traffic Diversion Near Jio World Convention Centre:
Restricted vehicular movement to Jio World Convention Centre Gate No 23 from Bharat Nagar, One BKC, We Work, Godrej, BKC towards the American Consulate, MTNL Junction.
Traffic Restriction Near MTNL Junction:
