Around 1L commuters at Mumbai Airport opted for luxury hospitality services

The report also revealed that ever since the new terminal 2 (T-2) began operations in 2014, around 12 million passengers, international and domestic, have travelled through Mumbai Airport.

Mumbai International Airport Limited's (MIAL) data revealed that the facilities provided by Mumbai Airport's premium luxury hospitality service, Pranaam GVK, have been availed by around one lakh passengers over the past four years, including both, domestic and international. The report also revealed that ever since the new terminal 2 (T-2) began operations in 2014, around 12 million passengers, international and domestic, have travelled through Mumbai Airport.

The luxury service includes access to GVK lounge, dedicated porter for check-in and baggage assistance. These were mainly availed by domestic passengers from Delhi and Ahmedabad followed by international passengers from the Middle East, Europe and the US.

"About 80 per cent Pranaam users are from India while others are foreign nationals. The service is quite famous among international passengers arriving and departing from Mumbai, particularly the Middle East, Europe and the US, contributing to about 82 per cent of overall international passengers." Further, passengers from Bangalore and Pune also use the services wherein Delhi and Ahmedabad alone contribute to around 50 per cent of the total domestic passengers availing luxury facilities.

The spokesperson added, "We have also developed special products for addressing requirements of international cruises and wedding groups and over the last two years, we have catered to around 10,000 passengers."
