Residents of south Mumbai residing near Metro Cinema will not face water cut as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has repaired the pipeline on Tuesday. The pipeline was damaged on Monday during heavy rainfall.
According to official from Hydraulic Engineering department of BMC said that they had stopped the supply of water around 600 metre pipeline from Malabar Hill reservoir to Azad Maidan.
“By around 4.30pm, we repaired the 20 metre of 600 metre pipeline on Tuesday and water supply became normal,” said an official from Hydraulic department. There was no major disruption in supply in the area, he added.
