The pass percentage of girls was 92.45 per cent, against last year's 88.67 per cent, while that of boys was 90.14 per cent, against last year's 85.32.

Girls outperformed boys yet again in CBSE Class X examinations, results of which were declared on Monday. In all, 91.10 per cent candidates cleared the examination, an improvement of 4.40 per cent since last year. The pass percentage of girls was 92.45 per cent, against last year's 88.67 per cent, while that of boys was 90.14 per cent, against last year's 85.32.

Top rank of 499 was shared by 13 students across the country, including one from Gujarat, while from Maharashtra, 20 students scored above 495. The highest for the state was 487, something that was achieved by three students from Navi Mumbai and Thane, and one from Nagpur. In addition, five students scored 496, while 11 got 495.

Congratulating the students, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Proud of my young friends who have successfully cleared CBSE Class X examinations. Wishing them the very best for their journey ahead. May these young minds continue making us proud. Congratulations also to their teachers and parents!"
