However, the college officials claim they will help these students to cope up with their syllabus as unit test examinations will began before the Diwali vacation begins.

Colleges will extend their support to students who had to bear the brunt of the late admission processes. On September 14, the last merit list for first year, junior college admissions were out and process ends today. The last merit list of special fourth round was declared late for the students who cleared ATKT (allow to keep term) in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board examination held in July. This resulted in most students missing their lectures while colleges have almost finished teaching syllabus for upcoming unit test examination.

However, the college officials claim they will help these students to cope up with their syllabus as unit test examinations will began before the Diwali vacation begins.

Dr. Minu Madlani, principal of KPB Hinduja College, Charni road, says, ""We have discussed today about how are we going to help the students who will be entering FYJC college late. They would not be familiar with the subjects like accounts and book keeping. If the education department permits we will conduct their unit test later that will take place before Diwali vacation begins. We will definitely hold extra lectures in order to help them ."

Echoing the sentiments of Madlani, another principal Priyanka Rajani, Vidyanidhi School and junior college, Vile Parle, says, "We do have a couple of students admitted, who cleared their board exams in July. Since the time is less and exams will take place just before the Diwali vacation, it will be very difficult for these students to cope up but we will surely hold extra practical lectures for these students. Also we will try instead of exams if we can mark them for assignments."
