The complainant claimed that he and a partner run a business on a disputed land, for the possession of which the legal heir of the man, since deceased, from whom they bought the land, has been troubling them.

A metropolitan magistrate court has ordered a FIR to be lodged against the senior inspector Hareshwar Pimple and sub-inspector VH Sawant of Kandivli police station, ordering investigation into the criminal complaint filed by an Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Prabhu Rathod.

The complainant claimed that he and a partner run a business on a disputed land, for the possession of which the legal heir of the man, since deceased, from whom they bought the land, has been troubling them.

Rathod had filed a complaint in the State Human Rights Commission in April after which the commission had asked the DCP to submit a report, which is still pending.

“We also have audio CDs of conversation where Sawant is pressurising Rathod to vacate the plot,” said Avinash Dubey, Rathod’s advocate. SPI Pimple denied the allegations saying the complainant has malafied intentions.
