A Navi Mumbai court has issued summons to Reliance Communication’s chairman, Anil Ambani, and others to appear in court on October 8 in connection with a cheating case filed by an ex-employee.

The summons were issued last week after the Turbhe police field a report on the complaint filed by Rajendra Bansal, a former employee with Reliance Communications. Bansal’s services were terminated in November 2006. In his complaint he has claimed that he was due to get Rs34,52,359 as final settlement from the company. However, he only received Rs 4,72,840. He has alleged that the company has cheated him of Rs 29,79,519 which is due to him. He has filed complaints against Anil Ambani, CEO Satish Seth and other management members including Krishna S Kumar, Sudhir Kapadnis, Niranjan Kothari, Vijay Vaswani, Anil Shah and PK Bhatnagar.

Earlier, the court had ordered Turbhe police to register an FIR in the case and had given them time till March 3 to investigate and submit a report. The report was filed after a delay of five months.
