Daily commuters of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus plying on Route Number 43 (Katraj to Nigdi) organised a function recently to felicitate the driver and conductor of the bus. The heart-warming gesture will help the transport utility shed its negative image.
Other than the general camaraderie that exists among passengers, the conductor, Annasaheb Ganpatrao Ghule, and the driver, Sanjay Ankush Nanavre, make a concerted effort to ensure that the commuters have a pleasant journey.
Some daily commuters, including Suryakant Kadu, Balkrishna Mujumale, Dhavade Patil and Mumtaj Inamdar, also penned a letter to the two PMPML staff praising their good work.
The passengers presented clothes, a towel and Gandhi caps to Ghule and Nanavre as Diwali gifts and a token of appreciation for the services they offer.
The transport body’s public relations officer, Deepaksingh Pardeshi, thanked citizens for organising the event. “The trust of the passengers is our greatest asset,” he said.
