All long distance trains of Central Railways were running late as the engine of the Deccan Queen train caught fire today.
The engine of the Pune-bound train caught fire at around 18:29 pm near Neral station, an official from the Central Railways said.
However, there were no casualties, he added.
The engine of the train would be replaced soon and the passengers are safe, he said adding the reason behind the fire is yet to be known.
Several long distance trains have been delayed by one and half hours due to the incident, he added.
