Seeking a vote for change and providing absolute majority for the BJP in the BMC, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday said the Shiv Sena's tenure in the BMC is riddled with scams. Speaking at his first public rally in Mulund for the upcoming BMC elections, Fadnavis said that the dumping ground in Mulund would be closed down to tackle a huge scam there. He promised to make functioning of the BMC transparent and corruption-free.

Attacking the Shiv Sena for its claim that the Union Government has rated Mumbai as the best city, Fadnavis said that the economic survey has been misused by the Shiv Sena and it has happened because Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has made the wrong choices when it comes to his advisers.

Pointing out that in terms of transparency and ward-wise financial allocation, the BMC had received zero marks, he said it was the same situation with regard to work done last year. He said that it is only because of state government-related efficiency that the BMC could achieve third position and save face.

Stating that there is a scam worth thousands of crores of rupees with regard to the work at the Mulund dumping ground, Fadnavis said that the BJP would close down the dumping ground and congratulated the BMC commissioner for installing CCTVs at the site.

Seeking votes to bring the BJP to power in the BMC, he ensured change and development to fulfill the dreams of its citizens.
