PUNE: Now it’s the turn of Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam to face the music of forest officials for allegedly cutting down trees.

Sources alleged that Nigam axed trees to pave the way for an approach road to his
bungalow in the scenic Maval tehsil in Pune.

The forest department first filed an FIR against the celebrity singer and stopped the road work.

Sonu Nigam’s bungalow is surrounded by the beautiful Pavana dam. An FIR was filed with the Lonavala rural police on Sunday, that the work be stopped immediately.

“There is no proper approach road to the five farm houses and bungalows situated at the particular point,” said one forest officer, on condition of anonymity. When asked about the whole issue, Jadhav told DNA that no action was taken against any ‘celebrity’. “It’s all rumours,” he said.
