At least four people were killed and 29 others injured in a fire and multiple blasts of cooking gas cylinders in a bakery in a suburb here, an official said.
The fire broke out in Trombay at a bakery near Cheetah Camp area in north-east Mumbai, an official from municipal disaster management cell told IANS.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out after a cylinder burst in the bakery, triggering blasts of many other cylinders. A few residences nearby also caught fire. Four people were killed and 29 others were injured in the conflagration.
Eight fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
Those injured have been rushed to Sion Hospital while the process in on to identify those killed in the accident.
