The accused identified as Madhav Suvarna, manager of Mantra residency guest house at Madh island in suburban Malad, was held on Saturday for aiding and abetting the crime, as he provided accomodation to Doshi without proper verification after which the crime was committed, police said.

"Had Suvarna verified identity proof and stopped Doshi, the crime could have been prevented. Without checking identification, he provided accomodation to the accused. Hence we have arrested him for aiding the crime," said Oshiwara police, probing the 13-year-old Tijori's daughter case.

"Even though he was aware that the girl was minor, Suvarna allowed Doshi to check in the guest house and charged him higher amount," police said. Doshi was arrested on May 20 in connection with a rape case of a minor girl registered in Charkop police station.

During interrogation, he had also confessed to have allegedly kidnapped and had unnatural sex with Deepak Tijori's daughter. Tijori's daughter had been allegedly kidnapped on May 10 by Doshi who took her away in an auto rickshaw to Mantra
guest house where he allegedly had unnatural sex with her.
