During a gram panchayat meeting, the village head Balkrushna Kad said: “It is first step if we fight against corruption at our level.”
Other members immediately decided to return the money they had received to but their votes for the APMC election, which were held recently. They have decided to use the money to develop the village school.
Inspired by this move, the gram panchayat and co-operative society members of nearby Kavathe-Yemai village also decided to collect the bribe money and use it to reconstruct the village temple.
