After the devastating Kandivali fire, where scores of people lost their livelihood, Bridge India Foundation and Milaap Oraganisation have come together to help the victims. Now, you can donate help to the Damu Nagar fire victims in the form of money by visiting milaap.org

Four trustees and about 14 volunteers from Bridge India are working for the Damu Nagar victims.

Bridge India is a not-for-profit organisation started by young female working professionals and entrepreneurs to provide quality supplementary education, livelihood training, vocational guidance and citizenship rights training to marginalised communities and urban poor. Bridge India’s mission is to empower communities with the skills and knowledge that can lead to their upliftment and offer equal opportunities that can alleviate the coming generations from the cycle of poverty.

Milaap, a Bangalore-based online platform that raises funds for individual causes and organisations, will help individuals to give out small loans to local and marginalised communities to run small businesses and social ventures. The amount they choose to lend starts from Rs 500.

Help this visually challenged man

A 24-year-old visually challenged man, Siddharth Gajanan Sasani, is a musician who lost his keyboard, set of speakers and amplifiers in the fire. He had recently purchased all of this keeping in mind the wedding season. But, Sasani who was scheduled to perform at about 15 places, has lost his livelihood.
