The Bombay High Court on Tuesday refused to stay the release of Krrish 3 after observing that the petition filed by Madhya Pradesh-based scriptwriter Uday Singh Rajput was incorrect and dishonest, and he was not entitled to any relief.
In his petition, Rajput claimed he was the author of the film’s story and demanded compensation of Rs2 crore from producer Rakesh Roshan.
Justice S Kathawala noted that Rajput’s statements, while in the witness box, did not match what he had said in his plea. Meanwhile, Roshan produced a flight ticket copy showing that he was not in the country during the time Rajput claimed to have met him.
The court thus expressed displeasure over the contradictions in the facts stated by Rajput.
