NEW DELHI: The International Cricket Council on Monday paid tribute to Judah Reuben, the former Indian Test umpire who passed away here aged 84.
"We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear this news and would like to take this opportunity to pass on our sincere condolences to Reuben's family and friends," the ICC said.
Reuben officiated in 10 official and two unofficial Tests. His first Test was in 1969-70 between Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi-led India and Bill Lawry's Australia at Kolkata.
He worked as a fingerprint expert in the fingerprint branch of the Mumbai CID and later shifted to Pune.
