The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) would declare the results of ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) exams on Monday afternoon. While 1,84,253 students had appeared for ICSE exams, 81,758 had appeared for ISC.
Students can check their results from 3 pm on Monday on the Council's official website www.cisce.org and www.results.cisce.org. This year, the results are being declared earlier as compared to 2017, when the results were declared on May 29.
From this year, CISCE has decided to reduce the pass percent for both the exams. While cut off to qualify for ICSE students is 33 per cent, ISC students need 35 per cent to qualify. The previous pass percentages were 35 per cent and 40 per cent for ICSE and ISC students, respectively.
The council had said that the decision was taken to bring about conformity with other Boards in the country. The drop in pass percentages is expected to increase the number of students passing this year. This year, practical examinations were conducted in their respective schools as per timetable instead of conducting them centralised testing centres as is generally done.
Students can apply for recheck directly after they get their results from the council's website.
