IGNOU's Pune division to start two new courses from July

The two courses are: postgraduate diploma in information security (PGDIS) and advanced certificate in information security (ACISE).

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Pune division, has announced two new courses that would be launched in the academic year starting from July 2011.

The two courses are: postgraduate diploma in information security (PGDIS) and advanced certificate in information security (ACISE).

IGNOU has many courses that are open for all and with the addition of new courses to its programme; IGNOU is foraying in the fields of information security and jewellery designing.
The application forms for PGDIS are available till July 29. The eligibility criteria for this course are: BSc (computer science), BCA, BTech (computer science), BTech (IT) or its equivalent; a bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent from any recognised university/institute with CIT/CIC from IGNOU; or a bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent from any recognised university/ institute with one-year working experience in computer application/IT.

The forms for ACISE are also available and its eligibility criterion is X pass or its equivalent.

Another exciting course that is starting at IGNOU is a certificate course in jewellery designing (CJD). The eligibility criterion for this course is 10+2 in any stream or BPP from IGNOU.
