The population of the country has crossed the one billion-mark but India’s most searched query on the world’s top search engine is ‘How to get pregnant’. According to Google, researchers studied the aggregation of billions of queries that people typed in the Google search this year to compile the report called Google Zeitgest 2010. Data from multiple resources, including insights, trends and internal data tools, was used to compile the report.
All the queries studied are anonymous and no personal information was used for compilation of most searched things on the search engine. “The Google India Zeitgeist throws up a panorama of events, moments and trends that shaped our lives this year. Google Zeitgeist 2010 is a real reflection of the spirit of the nation.” said Vinay Goel, Head of Products, Google India.
Movies like Kites, Endhiran and Dabangg topped the movie search.
“People search queries that they can’t ask anyone. This also points out that even today Indians have doubts regarding pregnancy,” said an IT expert.
