Domestic private airline Jet Airways today claimed that it has clocked an over 41% jump in its domestic passenger traffic in May this year as compared to the same period last year.
The airline carried 8.69-lakh revenue passengers in May 2010, registering a 41.2% increase as compared to the same period last year, a press release said here.
The official figures (from the DGCA) are, however, yet to be released.
At the same time, the airline's traffic on the international sector registered a 36.5% increase as compared to the corresponding month of the year-ago period, the release said.
During the period, the airline registered a seat factor of 82.5% on the domestic routes, while on the international routes it clocked an 80.3% seat factor as against 75.4% in May 2009, the release said.
JetLite, which is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Jet Airways, carried 4.02-lakh passengers at a seat factor of 85.3% during this period, it said.
