Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is accused of the alleged murder case, had moved an application before the court to expedite the matter. The application said that the matter been already prolonged for quite a while, thus requesting the court to run the matter on day to day basis.

It was however opposed by the complainant, Rabiya Khan on the grounds that she has to approach the Apex court seeking orders in her application to set a special investigating team (SIT) to investigate the matter. The court however reprimanded Rabiya's lawyer for the same, claiming that it is not a private complaint, but a matter contested by the state against Sooraj.
