Seven people were admitted to JJ Hospital with symptoms of suspected food poisoning after eating at Adarsh hotel on VP Road. “I had food and drank some water. But within half an hour, I started vomiting. I also felt that the water had a bad smell,” said Pavan Kumar, 32, one of the patients.
“We are frequent visitors to Adarsh Hotel, as they serve good vegetarian food. But this is the first time that such a thing has happened,” said CM Kala, 52.
Kala works in Jaipur and eats at the hotel during his visits to Mumbai. “It is food poisoning. We’ll keep them under observation for another day,” said a resident medical officer in the general ward.
